MaryBeth Harrington is married to Joseph Harrington and together they have raised 2 daughters in Burlington, Massachusetts.  MaryBeth works as a nanny in Concord, Massachusetts and has been with the family of 3 girls for 6.5 years.  Prior to that she was a preschool teacher and worked as a creative arts camp teacher for students 12 -15 years old.

MaryBeth was a religious education teacher for many years in Burlington.  She has also volunteered for Project Illiteracy, Bedford Veterans Hospital in the Alzheimer's Unit, The Middlesex Homeless Shelter in Lowell, Mass. and "Sock Drive" which brings socks, t-shirts and winter coats to homeless population in the Boston Common.

MaryBeth has a passion for learning and continues to study art history, violin and drawing.  She is looking forward to taking a class at Boston College in art conservation this fall.

For many years MaryBeth has wanted to be involved in a mission with Valerie Shippen after meeting her through her daughter, Jillian, who went to West Virginia with the McDowell Mission for several years.
