When you serve the poor, as Jesus Christ entreated us to do, you find the core of your own being. Beyond Sunday Mission seeks to invite all, from various towns, faiths, and backgrounds, to merge into one community. Our hope is for all to discover their personal strengths through challenging team building activities, physical labor, self-denial and amazing prayer.  We also encourage daily journaling by participants to log their reflections and to consider what the work of the day and their experience informs them about themselves, their gifts, skills, and faith.

Those participating are highly encouraged to take what they learn about themselves and place it into practice in their own unique life setting.  Participating inthis mission is the first step on a life long journey.

Participants will be doing light home repair to help those in need. However, the most important work we do is spending time with the homeowners, sharing our own faith journey, and listening to their stories. Jesus specifically instructed us to: "Be not conformed to this world, but betransformed by the renewing of your minds…" Romans 12:2.   What we do with our lives 'beyond Sunday,' beyond our once a week worship time, matters!
